The Medicinal Mushroom Dispensary

Dana Larsen founded the Medicinal Mushroom Dispensary in 2019 as a mail-order service, then opened a storefront inside Vancouver's Coca Leaf Cafe at 651 East Hastings Street in 2021. Two more storefronts followed: 247 West Broadway in Mount Pleasant and, as of January 2025, 1674 Davie Street in the West End. Vancouver police raided the locations in November 2023; a BC provincial court later ruled the city had failed to prove the seized products contained psilocybin, and the stores continued operating. The shops stock dried mushrooms, microdose capsules, and edibles, alongside an affiliated drug-checking service.
