One of the few varieties with a documented commercial lineage: isolated and sold by Pacifica Exotica Spora, a Hawaii-based spore vendor active in the early 2000s. Origin accounts describe a wild collection from a dung patty in the Amazon basin — Peru most commonly cited — brought back and commercialized by PES before the company wound down.

Lookalikes — read this twice

Frequently sold simply as 'Amazonian' with the PES lineage detached, muddying which prints trace to the original isolation versus unrelated South American-themed lines. Also confused with Ecuador, thanks to the shared origin narrative.

Deadly species grow in the same places as psilocybin ones and can resemble them closely. Never eat a wild mushroom identified from a website — including this one.
